Android vs The Rest
Would it not behove The Oldie to run an Android app as well as an iPhone?

I could not agree more - but I have no influence over such things!

It's a phenomenon I have noticed often; the cool digital marketing types who make these decisions simply don't believe that anyone has anything but an iPhone, and indeed, in their little world, everyone does. But in the real world, the story is very different.

In November last year a respected research organisation estimated the market share of various operating systems on smartphones:

• Android: 75%
• iOS: 14.9%
• Blackberry: 4.3%
• Symbian: 2.3%
• Windows mobile: 2.0%
• Linux: 1.5%

One day, perhaps the digital marketers will notice!
