How to cancel your Windows 10 upgrade

It may be that you have had second thoughts about upgrading your system to Windows 10, at least for the moment, but have followed the procedure to reserve a copy and have it installed automatically on 29 July 2015.

Remember that the upgrade will not begin without your specific consent at the time.  However, you can remove yourself from the upgrade process, and you can always start it off again in the future if you want to upt to 29 July 2016.

Right Click on the Window icon on your taskbar

Click on Check your upgrade status.

Now click View Confirmation.

This should bring up the reservation confirmation page; the cancellation option is bottom left (in very small type)

Then follows an "are you sure " page:

That's it
